School Programs & Statistics

The Papua Harapan School is comprised of three interconnected programs sharing a vision and staff but supporting students through different objectives.

  • 1-year, flexible program for students from Papua's interior
  • Emphases: sheltered language, spiritual foundations, basic skills and academic/social confidence.
  • Develops core support relationships between staff & students.

Day School

  • K-9 (adding grade levels each year)
  • Indonesian National standards, moving to National Plus/International
  • Multicultural, involving students from local area

  • Home environment for students from areas outside of Sentani
  • Family setting, routines, relationships
  • No more than 12 students per dorm

As a school, our focus on students is holistic: taking into account spiritual, social/emotional, academic and physical needs. To meet these needs, we must get to know students well and cooperate to help develop students' potential. Class and dormitory sizes are small, to facilitate mentoring relationship and focused learning.
